A broad daylight robbery at gunpoint in Chhapra Saran, Bihar has spread terror. Jewelry worth 20 lakhs was looted from a jewelry shop in the area. Customers and the shopkeeper were taken hostage, then the ornaments were looted. Regarding the incident, it is reported that on Sunday (February 8), a robbery of 20 lakhs took place at a jewelry shop in broad daylight.
It is being said that 6 criminals arrived at the shop on two bikes. As soon as they entered the shop, the criminals intimidated the shopkeeper and customers by showing pistols. After carrying out the crime, they filled a bag with silver and gold jewelry and fled.
Firing done while leaving
After the incident, information has also emerged that the criminals fired shots with the intention of spreading terror. A video of the incident has also surfaced. In the video, three criminals are seen entering the shop. Two of them have pistols in their hands.
The weapons are clearly visible in the video footage. In the footage, one criminal is holding customers hostage at gunpoint. In the robbery, two criminals are quickly putting jewelry into a sack. During this, the customers present in the shop panicked. Within two minutes, the criminals fled with the jewelry.
Police arrived as soon as the incident was reported
The incident is said to have taken place at Mohammadpur Bazar in the Manjhi police station area. As soon as the information about the crime was received, the police reached the spot. After the incident, the police have started investigating the matter. On the matter, the police said that further action is being taken based on CCTV footage. Meanwhile, the police have started identifying the criminals.
Locker opened at gunpoint
After the incident, the victim Arun Kumar Gupta said that the criminals entered the shop at 12:48 PM. After this, they pointed pistols at everyone present there. Meanwhile, one of the criminals, while abusing, approached his father and threatened him, saying, “Open the locker, or we will shoot you.”
The victim said that at that time, there was also a child in his father’s lap. The child started crying out of fear. When his father tried to go outside with the child, the criminals pointed their pistols and stopped him from leaving. After this, the criminals filled a bag with jewelry and fled.
